    terms of service

    effective 1 September 2026last updated 25 August 2026
    These terms are the agreement between you and Fundrd for your use of Fundrd. We have tried to write them in plain English and to keep them honest about what the product does and does not do.

    the short version

    • Fundrd helps you find recently funded startups and write to their founders. It is a tool, not a job guarantee.
    • The emails go out from your mailbox, in your name - you are the sender, and you are responsible for what you send and to whom.
    • A reveal unlocks a company and its founder contact. Free includes 2 reveals and 2 emails a day; Elite has no fixed count.
    • Paid plans are billed by Freemius, our merchant of record, and renew automatically until you cancel.
    • Contact details you unlock are for your own job search - not for resale, sales prospecting, or bulk mail.

    this summary is for orientation only - the full text below is what applies.

    01who we are

    Fundrd is a product operated from India. In these terms, “Fundrd”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the operator of the service, and “you” means the person using it.

    These terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it. They do not require a physical or digital signature. By creating an account or using Fundrd you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

    02what fundrd does

    Fundrd surfaces startups that have recently announced funding, scores them against your resume, helps you find a founder’s business contact details, and helps you draft and send an outreach email from your own connected mailbox.

    Fundrd is a research and drafting tool. It is not a recruitment agency, a placement service, or an employer, and we are not a party to any conversation, application or hiring decision that follows. We do not promise that you will receive a reply, an interview, or a job, and no part of the service should be read as such a promise.

    03eligibility and your account

    You must be at least 18 years old to use Fundrd. Fundrd is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly create accounts for anyone under 18.

    You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for everything that happens through your account. Tell us at hello@fundrd.ai as soon as you suspect unauthorised use.

    04you are the sender

    This is the most important clause in these terms, so it sits on its own.

    When you send outreach through Fundrd, the message leaves your mailbox, under your name, to a recipient you chose. Fundrd drafts and transmits it on your instruction. As between you and us, you are the sender and the author of every message, including the parts our AI drafted and you chose to keep.

    You are therefore responsible for ensuring that each message you send:

    • is honest about who you are and why you are writing;
    • is genuinely relevant to the recipient - a considered approach about their company, not bulk mail;
    • complies with the law that applies to that recipient. If you write to someone in the United States, that includes the CAN-SPAM Act; in the EU, UK or EEA, the GDPR and local electronic-marketing rules, which are stricter and may require a lawful basis you do not have;
    • honours any request to stop. If someone asks you not to contact them again, you must not contact them again through Fundrd or otherwise.

    Because volume is what turns outreach into spam, we place sending limits on accounts and pace messages deliberately. You must not try to circumvent those limits, and you must not use Fundrd to run a bulk mailing campaign.

    05acceptable use

    You agree not to use Fundrd to:

    • send unlawful, deceptive, harassing, defamatory, obscene or threatening messages;
    • misrepresent your identity, experience or qualifications, or impersonate anyone else;
    • scrape, export, resell, or build a competing dataset from the contact information we surface, or share it with anyone outside your own job search;
    • sell, market or promote a product or service - Fundrd is for your own job search, not for sales prospecting or lead generation;
    • share your account, use automated means to access the service, or attempt to probe, reverse-engineer or disrupt it;
    • upload anyone’s resume or personal data but your own.

    Contact details revealed to you are licensed for your personal job search only. That licence ends when your account does.

    06reveals and daily limits

    Revealing a startup’s identity and founder contact uses one of your reveals. Your plan sets how many reveals and emails you can use each day. The free plan includes 2 of each. Elite has no fixed count, but we pause reveals and sending for the rest of a day once you reach the volume we consider safe for a personal mailbox. Daily limits reset at midnight in your timezone.

    • A reveal is a licence to view information within Fundrd. It is not money, not a stored-value instrument, and not a prepaid payment instrument under Indian law.
    • Reveals have no cash value, cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
    • Unused daily reveals and emails do not roll over to the next day.
    • A reveal is delivered the moment you make it, and a startup you revealed stays revealed - including if the contact details turn out to be stale or the founder does not reply.

    If a reveal fails for a technical reason on our side and you receive nothing, it is not counted against your day.

    07accuracy of the information we show

    Funding news is gathered from public sources and summarised automatically. Founder contact details come from third-party data providers. Both can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong, and a fit score is an estimate, not a judgement about your suitability.

    We do not warrant that any company, funding round, person, title or email address shown in Fundrd is accurate or current. Use your own judgement before you write to someone, and check anything that matters.

    08ai-generated drafts

    Fundrd uses a third-party AI model to read your resume and draft outreach. AI output can be inaccurate, generic, or state things about you that are not true.

    Every draft is yours to review before it is sent, and you should read it. Once you send it, you adopt it as your own statement. We are not responsible for the content of a draft you chose to send.

    09connected services

    Fundrd works alongside services we do not control: Google (to send from your Gmail account), our AI provider, our contact-data providers, our hosting and email infrastructure, and Freemius, Inc. for payments.

    When you connect Gmail you grant us permission only to send mail on your behalf. We do not read your inbox. You can disconnect at any time from settings or from your Google account permissions page, and doing so stops Fundrd from sending on your behalf immediately.

    Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms. If one of them changes, restricts or withdraws access, parts of Fundrd may stop working, and that is outside our control. What each provider receives is set out in our privacy policy.

    10plans, payment and renewal

    Paid plans are sold and invoiced by Freemius, Inc., our merchant of record. When you buy a subscription, your payment contract for that purchase is with Freemius, Inc., which collects payment, issues the invoice and accounts for any applicable taxes. We remain responsible for delivering the service itself.

    Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude taxes unless stated otherwise. Your bank may add currency-conversion or cross-border charges that we neither receive nor control.

    Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. Cancellation, refunds and what happens to your plan are covered in the refund and cancellation policy, which forms part of these terms.

    We may change our prices or what a plan includes. If a change affects a plan you are already paying for, we will give you reasonable notice by email before it takes effect, and you may cancel before renewal if you do not accept it.

    11your data

    You keep ownership of your resume and everything else you upload. You grant us a limited licence to store and process it for the purpose of running the service for you - matching you to startups, drafting your outreach, and attaching your resume when you ask us to.

    We do not sell your personal data and we do not share your resume with the startups in your feed unless you attach it to an email you send. How we handle personal data, and the rights you have under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, are set out in the privacy policy.

    12our intellectual property

    The Fundrd name, interface, content, and the software behind it belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you permission to use the service, not ownership of it. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from any part of Fundrd except as the law allows.

    13suspension and termination

    You may stop using Fundrd and delete your account at any time from settings.

    We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms - in particular the sending and acceptable-use rules - or where we are required to by law, or where an account is being used in a way that puts other users, recipients, or our email infrastructure at risk. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right first. For a serious or repeated breach we may act immediately.

    If we close your account for a breach, you are not entitled to a refund of fees already paid. If we close it for any other reason, we will refund the unused portion of your current billing period.

    14disclaimer

    Fundrd is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will produce any particular result. Nothing in these terms excludes any right you have as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 that cannot lawfully be excluded.

    15limitation of liability

    To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, business opportunity, or lost employment prospects.

    Our total liability arising out of or in connection with the service, on any basis, is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 50.

    Nothing here limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

    16indemnity

    You will indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from the messages you send through Fundrd, from your breach of these terms, or from your infringement of anyone else’s rights. We will tell you promptly about any such claim and will not settle it without your consent, which you will not unreasonably withhold.

    17changes to these terms

    We may update these terms as the product and the law change. If a change materially affects your rights, we will give you at least 14 days’ notice by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Fundrd after that date means you accept the updated terms. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version.
